Thrusting out for more
Almost like demanding more
Gasping at more
Emerging into more
Slapped into breath
n the presence of
So much more.
Hunger
Embryonic fluid
Turning cold
On our skin
Suddenly
Craving what was
Withdrawal symptoms
The womb is a universe.
More than a metaphor
Mothers
Naked reach…,
Touching each other
Tasting salty sweaty skin
Inhaling succulent warm milk
Permeating within.
Seeing, smelling, hearing…,
Joy seems new
Being held is new
Gratification is not
Tears and emotion seem new
More
Introductions n strangers
Projections of love,
Doubt n fear
Seem new
Muffled glimpses return
Like liquid dreams
The cut comes later
Tampering with natures pulse
Exhausting too much “more”
Then
Shared rest, sleep n dreams
Familiar retreats from growth
With her
From all the “more”
Rhythm returns
Restoring nature’s signature
Beyond more.
