Human Being

Updated: Jun 11

I was robbed of a father’s guidance in becoming humane, as he was robbed of his own—a cycle of loss masked by the ways we escape doubt and confusion. Sex, drugs, alcohol, and work became distractions, but grief remained—unspoken, unseen. Generational wounds deepened. Great harm was done.

Only with time did I grasp its weight, its impact. Resolution didn’t come from judgment or even forgiveness—but from acceptance. Not approval, not forgetting, just understanding. Suffering shapes us, but it does not define us. I no longer seek blame. I choose to recognize, to grow, and to let go—day by day.
