For me, there is a tension between cosmological sequence and cultural framing. In Lakȟóta thought, hierarchy is not linear or patriarchal; it is relational and cyclical. Wakȟáŋ Tȟáŋka does not sit “above” Uŋčí Makhá — they coexist in sacred reciprocity.

The Great Mystery is not a ruler but the breath within all things, and Grandmother Earth is the manifestation of that breath. eg: Wakȟáŋ Tȟáŋka, whose voice I hear in the wind. ~ hsh
