On awakening, I pray 

Wakȟáŋ Tȟáŋka 

Great Mystery, Great Spirit, 

Tȟuŋkášila, Grandfather  

Please be with me.

Ar dhúiseacht, guím  

Wakȟáŋ Tȟáŋka,  

An Mór‑Rún, An Spiorad Mór,  

Tȟuŋkášila, A Dhaideo,  

bí liom le do thoil.

Wah‑KHÁHN TAHN‑kah,  

On MOHR‑roon, On SPIR‑ud MOHR,
